Public and Private Representative
• Advocate for union members in various workplace disputes, grievances, and negotiations.
• Facilitate communication between union members and management.
• Represent the members of Laborers Local 773 in the negotiation of collective bargaining agreements.
• Educate members on their rights and responsibilities under union contracts.
• Organize and lead meetings with members at various locations.
• Provide guidance and support in resolving workplace conflicts and disciplinary issues.
• Maintain detailed records of cases, meetings, and actions taken.
Construction Representative
• Manages business matters of the Local Union construction department while working closely under the affairs of the Local Union Business Manager.

• May assist in negotiations with Union Contractors on hours, wages, individual grievances, and other work-related matters affecting the Union members of Laborers Local 773.
Qualifications:
• At least 2 years’ experience as a union member with knowledge of labor relations, or related fields.
• Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of labor laws, workplace rights, and collective bargaining, and the political process for elections for elected officials.
• Ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.
• Willingness to travel and attend union-related events or meetings.
• A passion for justice and supporting the rights of workers.
• Applicant must have intermediate computer skills to be effective with our software program, efficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook email along with excellent communication skills.
